Tourism:
In Morocco, tourism is regarded as a strategic priority and a driving force of economic and social development. Tourism has in recent years witnessed remarkable dynamic given the involvement of different stakeholders for the realization of the regional tourism development plan.
The sector of tourism in the Region of Guelmim Es-Semara has a wealth of potential products that combine sea (200 km of coastline) with the Saharan, the cultural, adventure and discovery, ecological, the spa and the speleological.

Seaside tourism :
The region has a virgin coastline on the Atlantic Ocean extending over 180 Km in the provinces of Guelmim and Tan-Tan. The Plage Blanche station and the new tourist area of Oued Chbika are two examples par excellence. Next to these sites, other sites are full of tourism potential: Oued Drâa and Oued Oum Fatma Loued Elouaaer in the province of Tan-tan.
Thermal tourism :
The Region hosts two thermal springs: Ain Lalla Mellouka and Abainou, the water of the latter water has curative effects in the treatment of dermal and rheumatic diseases.
Adventure tourism :
The geographic data of the region (deserts, valleys, oasis, caves...) are still little known and therefore constitute an attractive heritage which enhances the tourism offer of the region.
Cultural tourism :
Artistic, culinary, clothing and linguistic traditions give a stamp of authenticity to the region. Handicraft, for its part, symbolizes this cultural diversity.
The Region aspires to establish itself as a favorite tourist destination in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists. The attainment of this goal requires enhancing the tourism potential in its varied components of desert oases, spa and resort and a reinforcement of its accommodation capacity.
